But do I have to wear it indoors if I don’t go outside? I really don’t want to lol. But I try to be consistent everytime I go out !

Why do I still tan even though I wear sunscreen daily and reapply often? Specifically referring to my arms and hands.

Yes but I’ve yet to find a sunscreen that doesn’t feel gross on my skin while also wearing make up

So in this case would a little damage actually be a good thing? It would help reinforce the repair pathways?

Amen to this! I use some actives and moisturizer, etc., but I don’t think anything has made as much of an impact as sunscreen has. I do believe you have to go through trying a lot of them to see what you like and to see what works for you, but it is so worth it.

Misconception: ‘UVA rays penetrate deep into the skin; UVB rays do not’
Science: We often read that UVB burns and UVA ages, seemingly because UVA penetrates deeper than UVB into the dermal extracellular matrix and thereby causes photoageing. Yet almost all experimental data from human and mouse studies show that UVB is more effective than UVA at causing biomarkers of photoageing, including elastosis, which is the hallmark of photoageing. Although UVA radiation penetrates slightly deeper into the dermis, a proportion of UVB radiation also penetrates to this depth. UVB radiation is more energetic than UVA, is more biologically reactive and is absorbed to a greater degree by DNA. Consequently, UVB is more able to cause direct damage to DNA, causing mutations in the epidermis that ultimately can lead to skin cancer.

Throw in a retinoid at night and good lifestyle habits, too... *chef's kiss!*
As someone who burned horribly as a kid, my skin is looking amazing in my 40s. 🥰
