@josh_neille: Crikey Moses, legends… 🤣 Shit the bed, this one got out of hand quickly! Before releasing this little echidna back into the bush, I was just giving her a final health check to make sure she was fit and ready for the wild. What I forgot was that echidnas have one last secret weapon… When they’re stressed or feel threatened, echidnas will often wee and poo everywhere. 🫣💩 Wildlife experts believe this can help make them a far less appealing meal for predators, especially if something manages to get past all those incredible spikes. It can also simply be a natural stress response, but either way… it certainly worked on me! 😂 I copped the full force of it. Wee and poo absolutely exploded everywhere. Safe to say I was due for a shower after this one! 🤦‍♂️🤣 Australian wildlife never fails to keep life interesting. Every species has its own quirky way of surviving, and this little legend definitely made sure I’d remember her.
