He's not the CEO, he is the Executive Chair on the board of Directors which means he has no involvement with the contract negotiations. Also, Amentum services took iver the contract in March of this year and has had no injuries or deaths since they took over BUT did have issues with measles exposure in June. The Rolling Stone article lists him as the CEO but he isn't. He sits on the board of Directors.

This is so upsetting I used to love her but since last year I’ve taken break due to her not speaking out and other reasons. But if all this is true I’m done. Someone who supports ice or someone who doesn’t care to speak out against it isn’t someone I want to support. Even if I’ve loved her for so long

not defending this in the slightest, but theres more than just this black and white narrative. the guy in question, steven J. demetriou, is the executive chair of a governemnt contracting company (Amentum Holdings) that, 3 months before the wedding, picked up an ICE contract. the previous contractor, Acquisition Logistics, was fired because "The facility opened without meeting key detention standards, GAO found, because ICE didn’t inspect the facility prior to housing detainees there. After the facility opened, ICE reported additional problems, including gaps in medical services, the loss of a loaded firearm, and unsanitary conditions, among other issues". Multiple deaths were also recorded at the facility and some documentation was allegedly destroyed. The contract with Acquisition Logistics was terminated and a 180 day contract was awarded to Amentum Holdings to improve conditions at the facility. Amentum's contract runs through September. Also, Travis Kelce is childhood friend of Steven J. Demetriou’s adopted son, Reggie King, so they most likely invited him out of courtesy to his family
