Ok a kilogram measures mass not weight. Mass is the amount of matter. Weight is a force. So both measurement would depend on where they are located. If both the feathers and steal are located at the same place than their weights would be equal. If we had 100 kg of steel on Venus with Venus gravity of 3.7 m/s^2, the steel would weigh some 83 pounds. If at the same time*(ignoring relativity to make simultaneous measurements) 100 kg of feathers on the metallic core of Jupiter with an acceleration of 24.79 m/s^2 would weigh some 557 pounds. My point is that you cannot compare weight if all you know is mass
