Also did it once. Also bent some Pins but using a christmas bauble hook and 3,5h of my time i was able to get it to work again.

I used a screwdriver when I was younger to wedge it In between the am4 possesses and the cooler and the cpu still works😭

Sorry but if the CPU is already out of the Mainboard but still on the cooler, the LAST thing I would do is put it back. The possibility of bending pins is way higher. Just use Isopropanol and carefully wiggle the cpu free.

thats why I no longer use thermalnpaste and instead use honeywell ptm7950 its a phase changing thermalnpad which cools better and leaves no mess behind.
