I’ve been to Japan twice before and if you love sashimi, I suggest going to Kyoto and the nishiku markets! I never really liked tuna sashimi but the tuna there was really really fatty and had the best melt in your mouth feel. Give this market a try and have the best sashimi ever. They also offer so much other seafood and other really good foods so I highly recommend!

I’m from NY as well. Just went to Japan for my 2nd time. Depends how long you have, but I’d do Tokyo for a week, a night in Hakone (for onsen, then Kyoto and/or Osaka for a week (they are 30 away from one another). No msm in Japan!!! But lots of fatty tuna, uni, scallop, etc…for half the price!

Girl hatsuhana was amazing!! Didn’t have a res they sat me right away at the bar, and the service was great! Every staff member was so kind! And the sushi was incredible! Thank you for sharing 💕

Love Japan, went about a year ago. Obvi Tokyo will have amazing sushi spots but I personally loved the vibes of Osaka and Kyoto. ☺️
