@mariana: For years, Venezuela’s crisis was often described as a political story. Today, it’s impossible to separate the politics from the humanitarian catastrophe. When institutions fail, disasters become deadlier. When rescue efforts are delayed, every hour matters. And when accountability disappears, the cost is measured in human lives. The world needs to keep asking difficult questions, because Venezuela’s story didn’t end with the earthquake. In many ways, it exposed everything that was already broken.
