@justinandjess_: Exploring the most unique national park 🐋🦦🦭 We loved exploring Kenai Fjords National Park, both by land (the Harding Icefield Trail is one of our favorite hikes in Alaska!) and by sea. Given that only a fraction of the park is accessible on land, the best way to explore the park is by boat, like one of the wildlife/glacier cruises run by Major Marine 🛥️ (psst.. let me know if you want me to DM you a link to the exact tour we took!). 💰The 7.5 hour cruise we took currently costs $269 per person, stopping at two tidewater glaciers and for lots of wildlife along the way. There are also shorter cruises that are a bit cheaper. 🥪 While it’s definitely pricey, the cruise comes with a boxed lunch with a sandwich, chips, and brownie; complimentary tea and coffee throughout the cruise; naturalist guides; and binoculars to use. 🦭 The glaciers were cool to see, but our favorite part was definitely the wildlife! We saw sooo many humpback whales, a fin whale, orcas, otters, puffins, sea lions, seals, mountain goats, and a bear, plus countless seabirds. 🤢 The waves here can get pretty gnarly, so if you’re prone to seasickness, take lots of Dramamine ahead of time. 🤔 So is it worth the price? We think so! It’s definitely one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever been; the crew are so knowledgeable and kind; and we got to see SO much wildlife.
