genuine question… where did you guys get the information like “Disney sued Mattel” or “Ever After High was cancelled because of Descendants”? 😭 i’ve been researching this for days, but i seriously can’t find any official source confirming either of those claims. from what i’ve found, the only thing that’s actually confirmed is that Mattel lost the Disney Princess doll license. after that, they had to cut costs, the newer EAH dolls became lower quality, and eventually sales went down. Descendants was definitely a big competitor too since both franchises are about the children of fairy tale characters. every time i look into those claims, i only find people repeating them in videos, comments, or posts. i still haven’t found an official statement or reliable source confirming them. if you have one, i’d genuinely love to read it because i love researching this kind of stuff, and i want to make sure i’m getting the facts right. 😭

eah wasnt cancelled because of descebdants, it was cancelled because the toy sales were down so much they couldnt fund the show anymore. And yes that was after descendants came out and gained more popularity, but it isnt the fault of the franchise but rather that not enough people wanted to fund the ongoing of the show
