I would skip the diaper and wipes. They provide so many. I would pack: snacks, long phone charger, pillow for you guys (the hospitals are alright but not great).

They will 100% not fit newborn yet. You need to pack premie. Even if your baby is over 8 pounds, newborn clothes will be too big.

ive had a 5lb and a 7lb baby, definitely take at least one preemie outfit! i didn't pack one for my son because he was measuring bigger and newborn didn't fit him in the hospital or even the first week or so we were home, they all swallowed him whole and he was 7lbs😅 definitely a long charger, your own pillow and blanket, a sound machine, i loved my little egg night light for middle of the night, even my nurses loved not having to turn the big lights on. of course your water cup, i packed my own grippy socks from home, if you plan to breastfeed definitely take a boppy pillow, it really does help! but overall, remember to cherish those firsts. you will never be back in that room with that baby, cherish every minute of it. it's already been almost a month since my second baby and i already miss those first moments with him🥺🩵

I would take a preemie outfit just in case. I took a 0-3 month outfit with my first because i didn’t know any better. My last sonogram he was measuring close to 8lbs. He was born 6lbs 6oz and was able to fit in a preemie size. I know your son could be long since Neven is tall, but he could also be smaller like Amber.

Highly suggest a preemie outfit. I had a 8lb girl & 5lb boy. Both left the hospital in preemie. And a sound machine like a hatch, so you have the sound & the dim lighting

Definitely pack a premie outfit! The ultrasounds are never accurate for weight.

L&D nurse here… yes the hospital will supply diapers and wipes so use them. I would also add a sound machine just to soothe them(not a huge need though)

Bring extra bag so you can empty the room. All baby and mom recovery items go home with you, you paid for them if you used them or not. Ask every nurse at shift change for a new passie. So excited!

Just because he’s not a premie doesn’t mean he won’t be able to fit in premie clothes cuz my daughter was 6lbs 6oz and she started out in premie clothes

I would personally say pack at least a premie outfit, i was told towards the end of my pregnancy that my son was weighing 6 almost 7 pounds, he came 3 weeks early than his due date weighing 5 pounds 8 ounces.

The sooner you start them on the brand of bottle and pacifier you would like them to use then they won’t reject it when they are older. My son is eight months old and he drinks out of a man bottle and sucks on Tommy tippy pacifiers and also nurses.
