@805maps: Kern County used to be part of the 805 area code until 1999 when it was part of the new 661 area code introduced by the State of California This was mainly done because of the growing use of cell phones and population boom in the area. Do you have any memories of when Kern County was part of the 805 area code? #bakersfield #ventura #805 #oxnard #History
