He is speaking the truth. I discovered this years ago. I am not anti spiritual, just anti religion, which misses the point and has degraded into power and control and a reason for most to avoid personal responsibility for critical thinking and owning one's own decision making .

The good Samaritan was told in response to the question "who is my neighbor?" People think it is about helping your actual neighbor. Yet, Samaritans and Jews were not true neighbors. They did not like each other. Being a "Good Samaritan" is about helping everyone in need, not just people like yourself. That story was meant for the people of that time. The people of today don't understand because we understand too literally. People don't understand the parables because they were not meant for us.
