Crazy how I have all of these. I’ve seen an allergist twice I’ve done allergy testing when I’ve had random lip and tongue swelling. No allergies and MCAS has never been mentioned.

I can’t metabolize alcohol. I just flush hot all over if I drink it. I just don’t drink it anymore. Exercise makes me exhausted and the muscles in my thighs have a fireworks sensation during cool down. I’ve never found anyone to explain it. Is this part of it, or something different?

is MCAS somehow connected to stress levels? I stopped working few months ago (which was very stressful for me) and a lot of my symptoms calmed down or completely disappeared. I don't have as many skin flare ups as I used to, my tummy feels calmer and a lot of my serious neurological issues disappeared. I still have a lot of the things you've mentioned going on but most of them were way worse while I was in a constant stress so does that mean they're strictly from stress or it still can be MCAS?

And my allergist literally told me when I asked about EDS and he said it only mattered if it would change how they treated my MCAS and I was stunned I was thinking uh yeah it changes everything but he just shut me down so I’m trying through other drs because suspect it’s part of my storm of issues

I have diagnosed MCAS, but my gp had never heard of it before me, and every time ive been to hospital theyve also never heard of it. I have no idea what type of doctor to ask for a referral for, let alone what actual treatments are available now that im already diagnosed and just been told "yup, you have it, good luck! here's an epi pen."
