NEVER COOK IN THE CAN. The inside lining of the can is toxic!

Just as a warning, many cans have a plastic/chemical coating inside them to prevent oxidation. Heating it can release that into your foods.

Am I the only one that thinks jar garlic doesn't taste like garlic at all? To me it just tastes like sweet staleness.

Modern cans are lined with a thin plastic or epoxy coating (often containing BPA or BPA-alternatives) to prevent the food from reacting with the metal.Applying direct heat breaks down this internal plastic liner, causing toxic chemicals to leach directly into your food. Looks good but I would choose a bowl or glass microwave dish. Don’t care for the chemicals.

We said this a few years ago when this trend popped up, these tins are not meant to be heated.

Its better to put the ingredients in a ramekin before cooking. Those cans have a plastic coating on the inside that when heated can leach petrochemicals into your food. Just saying.
