Daemon did “confiscate” Tessarion tho, a dragon keeper was the one who escaped and survived, the dragon keepers were transporting Tessarion to Kingslanding!

Corlys never learns his ego for his legacy is never sated. If he was patient enough he would be able to rebuild driftmark and give it to baela and his eldest son if they still end up together.

Literally as soon as the episode was over I was like he didn’t even pick up on the dragon not even reacting! Wouldn’t a dragon react to their bonded being under a potential threat and being taken away??

I feel like it might be riskier to allow “Daeron” to fly on a dragon rather than leave the dragon there. It’s not like another rider can just hop on him. Also, the prisoner transfer kind of happened peacefully. I didn’t expect a reaction from Tessarion based on that interaction.

Odd to see people defend this decision asking but where would the Hightowers get a dragon rider if the real Daeron was killed. I’m like the same way Rhaenyra found 50 possible ones. And if Daeron tried to fly away then perfect excuse to kill him. Daemon would not leave such a valuable, rare weapon with the enemy especially since anyone with Valyrian blood can claim one. Most dragon eggs don’t hatch. Unclaimed dragons belong in Dragonstone not the Reach. They already suspect that the Greens found a rider for Sheepstealer.

Taking the dragon with them would give “Daeron” a much greater chance of escaping. And as far as they know a dragon only bonds with one rider at a time, meaning there is no way for the greens to utilize Tessarion or use him against the blacks as he will only follow Daeron’s commands.
