Do you agree? Is character more important than initiation?

good of you sister 🙏✨🙏
Iwa Pelemeans good conduct, good
heart, good attitude and good thoughts,
good souls. It refers to doing what is
universally right and not simply and
arbitrarily right for a person or a
group

BABALAWO IFATOBI AGBOOLA 🌴 :
A respected Babaláwo is known not only for spiritual knowledge but also for integrity. The Yoruba concept of ìwà pẹ̀lẹ́ (good character) is considered one of the highest virtues in Ifá, and many believe that knowledge without good character is incomplete.

Please remember that achieving genuine competency and mastery as an Ifá priest requires 15 to 25 years of sustained study and training. This is not a weekend ceremony or a short residency. It demands cultural immersion, language acquisition, and living inside the culture long enough to internalize its logic. It also requires formal instruction, evaluation, and testing under elders who are themselves trained, accredited, and recognized.
The reality is that the vast majority of people you will meet in the United States have not undergone this level of training. And even in West Africa, rigorous long‑term priestly formation is far less common than many assume.
Make informed decisions. Protect yourself from becoming entangled in someone else’s circumstances, limitations, or unmet obligations.
