@cassiemomcoach: It looks simple. Stupid almost 😂 What I’ve realized after 4 little kids who are 7 and under… It’s not about dinner. Or the tantrum. Or the hitting. It’s your body freaking the f*ck out, and you’ve been trying to think your way to calm. Nervous system dysregulation in moms looks like: → Chronic stress and overstimulation - being annoyed by the tiniest, normal kid noises → Reacting HUGELY to small behaviors → History of being told to “calm down” or “stop crying” as a kid → Scrolling and numbing instead of processing → Trying to do everything perfectly → Thinking you need a new routine every week, but you can’t stick to it → Wanting to rage clean and throw out every single toy you own → Repeating back things to your kids, that came from your parents, that you SWORE you’d never say Your nervous system got reactive trying to protect you. That’s actually a sign it’s doing its job. The problem is just that it got stuck in that protective mode long after the threat passed. Understanding what caused your reactivity is the first step to addressing it at the root… not just white-knuckling through the toddler years.
