I would actually stick those space saving bags in weird places in your car. Under the seat, in the back windshield, side door spaces, etc

Wrap your glassware/dishes/etc in your kitchen/bath towels or clothing. Keep stuffing things into things like your boots. It'll be a mess to unpack but it's space saving! Also, do the same with the totes....stuff socks and small things into all the cracks.

put the toiletries in ziplock bags so they don't ruin your boots if they leak and you don't lose anything

Sam (She/They) :
Don't waste your tote space on the vacuum bags. Use them as gap fillers. Those totes are going to have gaps between them that can easily hold 2 or more bags.

I would actually pick a bigger uhaul with a car dolly instead of adding miles to your car because after the move furniture and other things up there will be more expensive to repurchase in total.

look up roof top bags - the inexpensive ones are around $50 and will give you more storage room on top

My grandmother would take her shoes and stick them in little nooks and crannies. She also moved around with three children in the military when my grandfather was in the Air Force so see what you can fit around your totes

factor in alittle more gas for towing. I did this recently Tx to OR and I had to fill up more often than I planned to. those boxes are great but an inventory for whats sort of in each box is great for unpacking or finding an item you need at the time.
