Without going into much detail, my husband and I felt the EXACT same way last year. And I’ll just start by saying: your move probably won’t happen the way you think it will. We moved from Houston (a major city i was also supposed to be “grateful” living in) to NYC 🗽 while I was laid off work 😳 NO ONE understood why we we were doing this lol and despite how insane NYC is, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. This place became home SO quickly, and I absolutely love it. I also feel alive here, and the energy here makes me feel whole. 🙏🏼 oh and I was 31 when I moved lol you got this! If Austin is calling you the way NYC was calling me, you WILL make it happen, even if it’s unconventionally. 🫶🏼✨

had this same feeling trying to move from detroit to denver but I'm here now and its everything I wanted :) a year is not that long in the scheme of things and if the move is what you want you will absolutely make it happen

This was me last year to a tee. You have to set some type of roots and try something new in Chicago and just keep doing it to build a routine but also with something new that makes you feel you are moving forward. It feels excruciating now but trust 1 year will go by fast ❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹

Trying to future plan from a place that makes you feel dead inside are kind of incompatible tasks. You’re being very responsible and adult which I know we have to be, but I do feel if you just upped and left you’d make it work in Austin as your energy would just be so different. Have you ever looked up window of tolerance? I’d say yours in very low where you are and much bigger in Austin
