I’m a 21 year old in rehab😔. I started drinking a lot due to my mental health and I was struggling, I felt my life was falling apart, I lost my twin brother due to suicide 3 years ago. I would sit in my room and drink until I’m black out drunk every night. I saw it was an easier way than ask for help. But then I realized what it was doing to my body, and decided to get help. Go to rehab and go to therapy, and my family never supported me and all they did was criticize me. But at least my friends stayed by my side the whole time.

I don’t know the context but I know exactly how this feels. Smile, laugh, and push through the pain because it’s the only thing that makes you feel okay enough to keep going. You learn to desensitize and numb yourself to your emotions because you’d rather put others happiness and feelings before yours. You want everyone to think you’re fine when you’re really not either because they won’t understand or because it hurts too much to explain. Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m here for you if you need anything, anything at all. You’re going to be okay bby 💕
