Find a sobriety group that isn’t AA but is just sobriety/ recovery/ happiness/ success based! They are out there! Even if it’s a weekly zoom group meeting! That’s what I do 3 days a week on zoom with an amazing trauma informed social worker and other people who have genuinely struggled and want to make their life the best it can be no judgment, people can express to a higher power or themselves or their family or the sky or a place or literally anything just as long as it works for you and it helps you! Sending lots of love❤️

I do also agree it's a cult but it's a very helpful place for a lot of people and when I go I find myself trying to not become "indoctrinated" but I focus on listening to individuals stories and connecting with the individual people I resonate with.

A cult expert names Daniella Mestyanek Young says AA is a cult. Also, she wrote a books called ‘Uncultured’ and ‘The Cultijg of America’. Plus, she grew up in the Children of God, soooo really culty! Be careful 💖
