Eh I get where he’s coming from the f8x generation m3/m4 was too similar to the 340s and 440s at that time. BMW imo made g8x cars very easily distinguishable from the lower trim cars for this exact reason and the same should’ve been done for the z06 even if it isn’t what they “typically” do.

It’s always been like that, pretty much a z06 with the stingray engine. But the c8 is rather different making a new engine I’d go as far to say I’d choose the grand sport over the z06

It doesn’t share parts. It is the same car. With a different powertrain. Identical, suspension identical, brakes, identical bodywork, perhaps different suspension tuning because of the mag ride and of course The Gear is different but essentially it’s the same part just two different power trains.

I don’t mind the grand sport having similar body style as a Z06. I bought a Z06 for the flat plane, not to be “so unique”

Grand sport is not a base like u said it looks nothing like the true base model the stingray and the zr1 of c7 and c8 look pretty different and id rather go a vette i dont care how special it looks the car still look beautiful and thats all that matters

Slight correction, saying we’ve had the GS since year 2-3 with the ERay is misleading because those are definitely different vehicles. Different powertrains entirely, ERay is not wide body, etc. The Grand Sport X is the new/replacement ERay, those can be compared more accurately.

man look Toyota is making a third gr GT it will be a ungraded trim of the roed legal gr GT and they are aiming to attach the porche 911 gt3 rs with it it's the same gr GT but with more aero stuff and more power💀

Agreed. I love corvettes but I much rather have the new balance sneaker, dad hat, gold chain association than the "look at my super car!" subset of people. Remember when you could easily spot BMW M cars? Just from the lack of fog lights? Now it's on m sports. X3 m sport now has a quad exhaust lol. They wanna sell cars they don't care about preserving exclusivity.
