It is written here in plain English! The boys Nolan was with got mad the girl Katie wasn’t interested in those boys. So, They left Katie and Nolan together. Told them to figure out how they’ll make it home together since she wants to be with that black boy who has no boat or family members with a boat with money to come get them. Sounds like it was a jealousy revenge murder. Now we need to know why Katie’s ppl didn’t give him a ride back?? Maybe he thought they was playing and would be back.
