Also, real academic pressure is when your family is poor, your parents are seniors STILL working so hard to help you finish school, and you wanna just give them a rest as soon as possible.

THISSS!!! THIS IS MEE when your parents care for you so much and they say they don't care for grades which only makes you pressure yourself because you care for them just as equally and show them your best. I feel you so much girly..😭

real academic pressure is when your parents already given up on you years ago and now you're constantly trying to prove to both them and yourself that you are capable of making it

my mom said “don't be pressured about your acads, even though you can't prove to everyone or to me that you can be an honor student, I know that you're good so there's no need to be worried/ashamed about it. Pero wag ka lang makakuha ng line 7.“

At some point, you begin to feel that it's your fault because you became an achiever. Your accomplishments made your parents expect more from you, and those expectations grew heavier over time. You start believing that every success raises the standard you have to meet, making you feel as though anything less than excellence is a disappointment.

My parents always aays as long as i don't fail or get a 70 grade it's fine, but i saw the dissatisfaction they had with my older brother who failed and dropped out of college, even though it wasn't directed on me i felt like i will go through the same thing as my older brother if i fail. As an academic achiever im scared on how quickly they will turn on me if I didn't succeed like how they wanted me to be.
