@kporter.stuff: Anti-seize prevents galling and corrosion at high temperature through a barrier layer of metallic particles, copper-based to 1800°F, nickel-based to 2400°F. Color tells you the base metal and temperature rating. The detail most engineers miss: anti-seize significantly reduces thread friction, so applying the standard dry torque specification over-preloads the joint. Multiply torque by approximately 0.65 to 0.75 when anti-seizing. Apply to the threads only, not the bearing face. Prevent seizing, reduce the torque, know which color for which environment. 🙌🏼⚙️
How’d you open that multiple times and not have it all over you

So then is this and standard grease the same thing with different marketing? Or is the base different or something? My understanding of grease only really goes to "It's oil thickened with metal particles like aluminum"

Fun fact: that little container of anti-seize is enough to paint and entire aircraft carrier.

Should it be used on wheel lug nuts? I am concerned about correct torque and the nuts loosening unexpectedly.

This might be wild but could you put thread locker on it, let it dry and then put anti seize on the hardware?
