Maybe Ryan Condal should’ve adapted the main series and D&D adapt Fire & Blood, because it seems like the former understands the main series better and is making it bleed into the story of the Dabce of Dragons; whereas the latter was more interested in battles, politics and intrigue and was not interested in the magical elements of the story. 🤔

I saw someone say that them seeing Rhaenyra rule that episode made realise how desastrous Daenerys being a queen would’ve been. The show really ruined Daenerys and people’s perception of her, I was so mad 😭

what makes more sense once she took the capital is that she taxed and confiscated assets from the nobles that betrayed her with a few exceptions by swearing fielty to her usurping brother. I also do think the relationship with the small folk grew cold because she did not have enough funds to help those in need because the crown's gold was shipped away.

it's like despite the changes they make compared to its source material, this show is very much made with the book fans also in mind.

Ryan is using a lot of elements of Feast and Dance into the series. This episode is what could have been Dany in Meeren, Jon in the wall and Cersei in KL. Daemon in Harrenhal last season should be visually how Bran is adapted.

I am going to add that Ryan Condle and his writing team understand well or at least partially ASOIF, especially the A feast for Crows part. I think we have to take the show for what it is
