i was never a person for the first 20 years of my life. i only truly starting feeling somewhat whole (i still struggle to this day) when i made it out. i mourn for those who didn’t make it out. every day, i think of them.

you’re 100% right and my mom was only lucky that her family didn’t have such an extreme relationship with honor culture, they just cut off contact for like a decade.

thats why they are so silent about Afghanistan. the silence from muslim countries is so loud.even if in their countries they arent as strict as Afghanistan.they still won't care enough to say anything cuz deep down its ok to them.

This is disgusting false islamophobic rhetoric and the fact that it is coming from a Palestinian person makes it even sadder. There is absolutely nothing in Islam that promotes violence or oppression towards women. Islam came at a time where women were seen as property, people would practice female infanticide, women were not allowed to inherit, and the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w abolished all of this even tho he risked his life in the process. His final words were to be kind to women. As for your specific accusation in this post ; there are millions of divorced Muslim women today, some re-married, some single, guess what, no one is unaliving them. Educate yourself on Islam, what it actually teaches, and let your hate go.
