This isn’t me vs them It’s me unapologetically sharing my story A story that deserves to be heard A story that deserves to be told! And it doesn’t have to mean im against all medical advice or staff or institutions It just means that im a mother and i did what i thought and felt in my gut was best Because at the end of the day, no one loves your babies as much as you do With both of my babies testing 100% on all tests I felt confident that they were OK inside of me and that they would grow. Had I took them out when the doctors wanted me to take them out they would’ve had a long NICU stay I probably would’ve had a hard time breast-feeding and it’s just this cascade of issues I found. My babies were testing perfectly. I let them stay in and they came out, fully formed larger than some Singleton babies. I know this is not every Twin Mom‘s experience, but I wanted to give inspiration to the Twin Mom‘s that it can be. It doesn’t have to be one size fits at all just bc you’re having twins. It doesn’t have to be C-section. It doesn’t have to be in NICU stay. It doesn’t have to be induction at 38 weeks. And I can’t tell you what you should or should not do. I think that going to the doctors and getting scans is the smart thing to do. I did not have the courage nor did i want to free birth twins. I wanted to take advantage of the medical advances that we have. I was monitoring them very closely with maternal fetal medicine. I made the best decision for us and I’m so happy that I did despite all of the hate that I got, and despite all of the rude and insensitive comments I received from medical staff as well as people here on the Internet, lol I do want to shout out the Moms who had to have NICU stay or had emergency C-sections etc. I know a lot of of this stuff we cannot control. I am not blaming mothers and saying that it was their fault or that they’re not “Blessed” because they experienced those things. You’re all amazing mamas ❤️ this is just my story. #twins #twin #twinpregnancy #identicaltwins #birth
