Well written character but a lot of the people in the comments saying what John did is okay since Steve also killed are completely forgetting/missing the part that actually mattered. He publicly killed someone who had already been disarmed and surrendered. That’s essentially the execution of a prisoner of war, the person who is supposed to be a hero and the nation’s top soldier/super soldier can’t be doing that while also being considered a hero like Steve.
