Brother i literally lived in my storage unit for years! I had a castle! 25’ X 25’ with 15’ ceilings inside! And a loft! Two water machines hot and cold water! Refrigerator freezer! Thousands of Watts on the floor! Ken wood stereo! California King size bed and crazy lighting! And can’t even begin to tell you what was all inside but I will tell you there was about 500 thousand dollars in material wealth inside! Try to stay low! Try not to be seen going in and out! Stay to yourself! Hopefully things will get better! Maybe someone there has a business! I always found work there! Maybe keep your eyes on that dumpster! That’s where the gold is and helping people move!

Don't the owners who built these storage units have safeguards against people moving into them ?
I have nothing against the homeless living there, but I think it would be some sort of liability or security issue......

please stay safe. I was homeless in Philadelphia. I couldnt stay in a storage unit because they were monitored too closely, but with the cost of living going up, storage space living is becoming more attractive

if that storage facility can be rented cheap enough for the homeless why not just convert it to a regular dorm or something

I can say it now because there were no witnesses, no photographs. I rented a 10’ x 25’ unit for a couple years. I lived in it and had some interesting projects. I only went there in the evening; never brought friends and kept a low profile. Now the storage units all have cameras and infrared sensors, manned security, etc.

I once stayed in a tent at a campground that had showers. I rode a bicycle around 10 miles every morning to a construction labor job then rode back at night. Finally found an inexpensive room before winter. Could've moved back home instead (another state) but my pride got in the way. ✌️✌️✌️That was in beautiful Burlington, VT

Yall I stayed in an Airbnb in Washington state - each room was a horse stall - it was the greatest thing EVER. I should do this for homeless. It can’t be that difficult. The rooms were crazy cozy.

About to begin staying in one later this weekend for hopefully not too long till I get on my feet. Any tips or suggestions? I live in AZ so living on the streets is not really an option with the heat
