Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper. 2. In a large bowl, beat the butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. 3. Beat in the eggs and vanilla. 4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients. 5. Roll about 1 tablespoon of dough into an oval, then gently pinch the center to create the classic peanut shape. 6. Place on the baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Flatten slightly with a fork, making a crisscross pattern. 7. Bake for 8–10 minutes, until the edges are just lightly golden. 8. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Make the Filling 1. Beat together the butter and peanut butter until smooth. 2. Mix in the powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt. 3. Add milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, until the filling is smooth and spreadable.
