@loftia.gg: How do the bees in Loftia sound so real? Because they are! 🐝

Our sound designer Nigel took a day trip to an apiary in Santa Clarita to record real life bees. Nigel recorded bees when they’re calm in their hive and when they’re more active when they’re giving their hives cleaned. A big thank you to Zivile @sweetzivile for letting us visit your bee hives! A lot of the sound effects in Loftia are made through field recordings, which is why some of them sound so realistic. However, some things in Loftia don't exist in real life (yet 👀). We can't exactly go record a floating island or a betabara. So Nigel improvises through foley and uses everyday household objects and materials to produce more creative sounds! We can’t wait to show you more of the process behind some of these! 💥🎼
