I stopped going when they refused to replace a CPU that was not working out of the box. They stated since I didn’t let them install it, they would not exchange it. That was the last time I went to a fry’s. Maybe around 2009-2010 period.

I remember walking into Fry’s 2 or 3 years before it closed and seeing the empty shelves. It started going downhill with the Bitcoin gold rush in 2017.
