@agoldenway: Childhood family dynamics can have lasting effects, but understanding the patterns is how we begin breaking generational cycles. #narcissisticmother #narcissisticabuse #childhoodtrauma #borderlinepersonality #generationaltrauma
you can't heal from abuse because we didn't do anything wrong, our parents need to heal, we just need to be aware of other people being assholes and stay away from them

The borderline is fighting being like her. It’s so hard to fight, but we must. But we must also be perfect.

I was raised by a narcissistic mother and then raised my youngest son the same way. I failed him as a parent. I am now trying to break all that generational trauma and now my son ignores me.

Grew up with a covert narc mom here. But, I’d also never wanna treat anyone, especially a significant other the way my mom treated me.

this aligns me so much I've only just been diagnosed bod after 30yra of server depression and anxiety with now working out the abuse from my parents and I'm struggling moving into my 40s as I am finding I relate to my 20yr old self but making new friends and relations rely on me being in the adult brain and being in the now 38yrold

It’s actually so sad. My husband and his brothers were raised by a controlling narcissistic mother.

One of the hardest things about a narcissistic relationship is realizing how much of yourself you lost trying to keep the peace. I suspected my husband was cheating on me for years but had no proof. It was a very difficult and emotional time for me. Eventually, I focused on having honest conversations and finding clarity for myself through the help of @Cyberclone on Tiktok. In the end, I got the answers I needed of him cheating on me and flirting with some other girls outside our relationship, and was able to make the best decision for my peace of mind. If you’re going through something similar, trust your instincts and prioritize your well-being
