I KNEW HOW TO MAKE JELLO WHEN I WAS 6. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE BOX. THATS WHY IT'S THERE. - You add the boiling water to the powder. - Stir until dissolved. - THEN you add the cold water and stir. Then it will be room temperature and won't melt the creamy layer. YOU'RE WELCOME. 😐

I make layered jello quite a bit- next time on the 2bd layer let the jello dissolve in the boiling water- take off heat then add the cold layer to cool it down - I usually let me 2nd layer rest a few minutes to cool down- it’s so finicky- I’ve had several that just melt together. It’s kinda a trial or error thing- it still looked yummy - thanks for the share.
