@septemberandmay: I’ve been craving Chinese fried bread 油炸鬼 a lot lately. I use to run to Tai Ping Supermarkets in the weekend because they would sell massssive ones for only $2 but would sell out way too quickly and tbh really wanted somewhere to eat typical Chinese breakfast foods. King recommended Silverlake and I had to try it ASAP! Good prices and the fried bread was light, crispy and satisfied my cravings. I love it with congee the most but the soy milk dip is another classic! The interior feels like I’m in Asia as well and the serves are nice, speaking mandarin, Cantonese and English which was perfect for someone like me 😂 the next time you’re craving fried bread and congee I highly recommend Silverlake 🫶🏼
