Còn Học Còn Tent :
Today, I would like to talk about the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, a special historical site in Vietnam, located in Quang Tri Province. It was built in the early nineteenth century during the Nguyen Dynasty and once served as an important administrative and military center of the region. However, the citadel is best known for the 81-day Battle of Quang Tri in the summer of 1972, when it became one of the fiercest battlefields during the Resistance War against America. Thousands of soldiers from both sides were killed or wounded during the battle, making the citadel a symbol of sacrifice and the desire for peace. After the war, many parts of the citadel were restored, and the site became a memorial to honor those who lost their lives. Every year, many local people, war veterans, and visitors come to offer incense, pay their respects, and learn about its history. Today, the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel is not only an important historical site but also a place that educates younger generations about patriotism, the value of peace, and the sacrifices made for national independence.
