@moonlitmuseee_: Five years. That was how long it had been since Miu Taechamongkalapiwat disappeared from Lena Schuett's life without a goodbye. No call. No explanation. No closure. Just... gone. People said time healed everything. Lena disagreed. Time only taught her how to hide the wound. Bangkok's entertainment industry welcomed Lena like royalty. She had become one of Thailand's most beloved actresses. Award-winning. Elegant. Untouchable. Everyone admired her smile. Nobody knew it had been fake for five years. Whenever reporters asked, "Have you ever been in love?" She would always answer with the same practiced smile. "Not anymore." On the other side of the world... Sydney Airport. A little girl with fluffy hair tugged on Miu's sleeve. "Mama Miu, are we really going home?" Miu smiled softly. "Yes, Nami." "Will everyone like me?" "They'll love you." The little girl giggled before wrapping both arms around Miu's leg. Nami wasn't related to Miu by blood. Three years ago, during a stormy night in Australia, Miu had witnessed a horrific car accident. The parents didn't survive. Only a little girl did. Terrified. Covered in blood. Clutching a tiny stuffed rabbit. Nobody came to claim her. Weeks became months. Months became a year. Eventually... Miu became her legal guardian. She named nothing. The little girl's name had always been Nami. Miu simply promised she'd never be alone again. Coming back to Thailand was supposed to be temporary. Just business. Just meetings. Nothing more. Or so Miu told herself. Three days later... One invitation changed everything. The Annual Charity Gala. Every influential business family. Every celebrity. Every media outlet. Everyone would be there. Including... Lena Schuett. Miu almost declined. Until Nami looked at the beautiful invitation. "Can I wear a princess dress?" "..." Miu couldn't say no. That evening... The ballroom glittered beneath crystal chandeliers. Champagne. Classical music. Luxury everywhere. Lena arrived wearing a midnight blue gown. The cameras loved her. She smiled. Waved. Posed. Then... The entrance doors opened again. Silence. Miu stepped inside wearing a simple black suit. One hand held Nami's tiny fingers. The little girl wore a cream-colored dress and happily waved at everyone despite not knowing anybody. Lena froze. Her smile disappeared. Her eyes fell... ...to their intertwined hands. Her heart stopped. Someone beside her whispered, "Is that... Miu?" "I heard she lives in Australia now." "That's probably her daughter." "They look so close." Lena couldn't hear anything after those words. Her daughter. Five years ago... Miu left her. Five years later... She returned with a child. Lena lowered her head. So... This was the life Miu chose. A family. A normal one. Something Lena could never give her. "Lena!" A familiar voice interrupted her thoughts. Orm rushed over first before hugging her tightly. "I missed you!" Ling laughed. "You still hate parties?" "I hate people." "That's our Lena." Oom chuckled. "You haven't changed." Then... Silence. Miu stood only a few steps away. Nami peeked from behind her. Everyone suddenly became awkward. Five years of unanswered questions floated between them. Orm looked from Lena... ...to Miu... ...then mentally screamed. Somebody say something! Instead... Nami smiled brightly. "Hello!" Nobody answered immediately. The little girl blinked. Then Lena forced a gentle smile. "...Hi." Nami waved enthusiastically. "I'm Nami!" Lena knelt slightly. "Nice to meet you." Nami nodded proudly. "I'm Mama Miu's daughter!" ... ... Lena's smile cracked. Only for a second. But Miu noticed. She wanted to explain. She really did. Yet... She stayed silent. Again. Dinner continued. Friends laughed. Old stories were shared. Only Lena and Miu barely spoke. Whenever one looked up... The other looked away. Whenever their hands almost brushed while reaching for food... Both immediately pulled back. Five years. Yet they still knew each other's habits. At one point... Ling quietly leaned toward Miu. "She's still wearing it." Miu frowned. "What?" "The necklace." Miu looked. Continuation ⬇️

the first time I read the name "Nami" I knew it was LeNAMIu 🤭🥰 and I thought it was special because I haven't read other AUs using Nami.. usually we associate "Lalee" as LM's daughter. :)
it's heartbreaking when family members like the Grandfather, Mr.T can hurt one of their own when they should be the ones protecting Miu's happiness. 😭
But as true love gets tested, true love also prevails. thanks for the happy ending/beginning for Lena, Miu and Nami 🥰

Part 8️⃣ (Final Part)
Miu squeezed her hand.
"I know she already had that name."
"But every time someone asked me why I loved it so much..."
"I'd just smile."
"Because they didn't know..."
"That every time I called her..."
"A little part of me was still calling us."
Lena's tears fell again.
"You really never forgot me..."
"Never."
"Not for a single day."
Lena leaned into her, resting her head on Miu's shoulder.
"I love you."
"I love you more"
"Always."
"Always."
At that exact moment, Nami looked up from her drawing.
She smiled at the two women sitting close together.
Then proudly held up her picture.
It was three people holding hands beneath a bright yellow sun.
Above them, in uneven crayon letters, she had written.
"My Family."
Miu and Lena looked at each other.
This time...
There were no secrets.
No promises made in silence.
No goodbyes left unsaid.
Only the future they had finally found their way back together.
END.

Part 7️⃣
Nami waddled over and climbed into Miu's arms before curiously looking at Lena.
"Hi."
Lena smiled warmly.
"Hi."
Nami tilted her head.
"Mama Miu cries because of you."
Miu gasped softly.
"Nami..."
"What?"
"You do."
Lena let out a watery laugh.
"I'm sorry."
Nami thought for a second before nodding.
"Okay."
The adults couldn't help laughing.
Children really did make everything simpler.
The three of them sat together in the living room.
Nami happily colored in one corner while Lena and Miu quietly watched her.
After a long silence...
Lena finally asked the question that had been haunting her since the gala.
"...Can I ask you something?"
Miu nodded.
"You thought she was my daughter."
Lena gave a small, embarrassed smile.
"I did."
"I was jealous."
"I thought... you had finally found the family you always wanted."
Miu looked at Nami with gentle eyes.
"I found her three years ago."
Lena listened quietly.
"There was a terrible accident in Australia."
"She was the only one who survived."
"No relatives."
"No one came for her."
"I visited her in the hospital every day."
"One day she asked me..."
Miu smiled faintly.
"'Are you leaving me too?'"
"I couldn't."
"So I became her guardian."
Lena reached for Miu's hand.
"You saved her."
Miu shook her head.
"I think she saved me."
They both looked at the little girl, who was humming happily while drawing.
Lena smiled.
"She's lucky."
"So am I."
A few moments later, Lena glanced at the drawing Nami had finished.
At the bottom, written in shaky handwriting, was her name.
Nami.
Lena smiled.
"It's a beautiful name."
Miu looked at the little girl before quietly saying,
"...Do you know why I kept her name?"
Lena shook her head.
"I was given the chance to change it during the adoption process."
"I almost did."
"But every name I thought of..."
"...never felt right."
She intertwined her fingers with Lena's.
"Then one night..."
"I realized the perfect name had been in my heart all along."
Lena frowned slightly.
"What do you mean?"
Miu smiled through tear-filled eyes.
"I kept hearing our names in my head."
"Lena..."
"...and Miu."
She softly laughed.
"So I split them apart."
"LeNA and MIu."
"...NaMi."
Lena's eyes widened.

Part 6️⃣
And he'd take everything you've worked so hard for.
So I stayed away.
I watched your career bloom from thousands of kilometers away.
I celebrated every award alone.
I cried every time you smiled on television because I knew that smile no longer belonged to me.
Lena buried her face in her hands.
Five years.
Five years of blaming Miu.
Five years of believing she had been abandoned.
When in reality...
Miu had been protecting her.
She didn't wait another second.
The next morning...
Lena drove straight to the address written on the back of Somchai's note.
A quiet house on the outskirts of Bangkok.
Her hands shook as she knocked.
The door opened.
Miu stood there in a loose sweater, clearly caught off guard.
"...Lena?"
Before Miu could react—
Lena wrapped her arms around her.
So tightly that Miu almost lost her balance.
For a long moment...
Neither of them spoke.
Only the sound of quiet sobs filled the doorway.
"I know..."
Lena whispered against Miu's shoulder.
"I know everything."
Miu froze.
"...The letter?"
Lena nodded.
"I'm sorry."
Miu's lips trembled.
"No..."
"You have nothing to apologize for."
"I blamed you."
"I hated you."
"I thought you left because..."
Her voice broke.
"...because you wanted a normal family."
Miu slowly pulled away, gently wiping Lena's tears with her thumb.
"I never stopped choosing you."
"I was just forced to choose your future over my happiness."
Lena shook her head.
"You should've trusted me."
"I wanted to."
"So many times."
"But if there was even the slightest chance he'd ruin your career..."
"I couldn't risk it."
Lena leaned her forehead against Miu's.
"We'll face everything together this time."
Miu closed her eyes.
"...Together."
For the first time in five years...
They kissed.
Not to erase the pain.
Not to pretend nothing had happened.
But to promise that no more words would be left unsaid.
A tiny yawn echoed from the hallway.
"Mama Miu?"
The two immediately looked over.
A little girl stood there hugging a worn-out stuffed rabbit, blinking sleepily.
She looked at Lena.
Then at Miu.
Then smiled brightly.
"Oh!"
"The pretty lady is here!"
Miu chuckled through her tears.
"Come here, sweetheart."

Part 4️⃣
I believe you deserve to know the truth now.
Lena's hands trembled.
The second envelope...
Had her name written in Miu's handwriting.
The same handwriting she used to leave little notes inside Lena's scripts.
"Drink water."
"Eat breakfast."
"I'm proud of you."
Lena carefully opened it.
Inside...
A folded letter.
The paper was old.
The ink had faded slightly.
Her heartbeat echoed loudly in the quiet apartment.
She unfolded it.
The first line alone made her vision blur.
To the love of my life,
If you're reading this... then I failed to protect both of us.
Lena stopped breathing.
A tear landed on the page.
She wiped it away immediately, terrified of ruining the words.
She kept reading.
As the truth slowly unfolded before her eyes...
Everything she had believed for five years began to crack.
Lena couldn't breathe.
Her hands trembled so violently that she had to place the letter on the table before she accidentally tore it.
Then...
She began reading.
To the love of my life,
If you're reading this... then I failed to protect both of us.
By the time you find this, you'll probably hate me.
And honestly...
You have every right to.
I disappeared without telling you anything.
I became the villain in your story.
I let you believe I stopped loving you.
But if that means you stayed safe...
I'd choose to become your heartbreak over and over again.
Lena...
Please believe this one thing.
I never left because I stopped loving you.
I left because loving you became dangerous.
Lena's tears dripped onto the paper.
She wiped them away desperately before continuing.
Five Years Earlier
The Taechamongkalapiwat estate stood in complete silence.
Miu was summoned into her grandfather's study.
She already knew it wasn't going to end well.
Behind the massive mahogany desk sat Mr. Taechamongkalapiwat, the man whose name alone could make politicians and business executives nervous.
He didn't ask Miu to sit.
Instead...
He slid a thick folder across the desk.
"Open it."
Inside were photographs.
Lena leaving television studios.
Lena attending events.
Lena entering restaurants.
Even...
Pictures of Lena walking hand in hand with Miu late at night.
Miu's blood ran cold.

Part 2️⃣
The gala ended with more questions than answers.
No reconciliation.
No explanation.
Just another goodbye.
Only this time...
They both watched each other walk away.
The following morning, every entertainment page was flooded with photos from the charity gala.
"Lena Schuett stuns in midnight blue."
"Business heiress Miu Taechamongkalapiwat returns to Thailand after five years."
"Who is the little girl beside Miu?"
Speculations spread like wildfire.
Some articles boldly claimed that Nami was Miu's daughter.
Others assumed Miu had gotten married overseas and later divorced.
The comments hurt more than Lena wanted to admit.
She tried to ignore them.
She really did.
Until she saw one headline.
"Miu Taechamongkalapiwat Finally Starts Her Own Family."
Lena quietly locked her phone.
"...Of course she did."
Across the city...
Miu sat on the balcony of the hotel while Nami colored in a picture book.
"Mama Miu?"
"Hm?"
"Why were you crying last night?"
Miu blinked.
"I was crying?"
Nami nodded innocently.
"When I woke up to drink water... your eyes were red."
Miu smiled weakly.
"Adults cry too sometimes."
The little girl climbed onto her lap.
"Because of the pretty lady?"
...
Children noticed everything.
Miu hugged Nami close.
"Yes."
"Did you hurt her?"
"..."
"I did."
Nami frowned.
"Then say sorry."
"I already did."
"Did she forgive you?"
"...No."
"Then say sorry again."
Miu laughed softly despite herself.
"I wish it were that easy."
Days passed.
Neither of them reached out.
Both pretended to continue living normally.
Neither succeeded.
Orm had finally had enough.
She invited everyone to dinner.
"No excuses," she texted.
"If none of you come, I'm blocking all of you."
The restaurant was filled with laughter.
Ling and Bam argued over who ordered too much food.
Oom teased Orm for acting like everyone's mother.
For a brief moment...
It almost felt like old times.
Until Nami suddenly tugged on Miu's sleeve.
"Mama Miu..."
"I'm sleepy."
Before Miu could answer...
Lena instinctively reached for the little girl.
"Come here."
Nami looked at Miu for permission.
Miu nodded.
The little girl climbed into Lena's lap without hesitation.
Within minutes...

Part 3️⃣
She had fallen asleep against Lena's shoulder.
Everyone around the table went quiet.
Lena gently brushed the child's hair away from her face.
"...She's adorable."
Miu smiled.
"She is."
"You raised her well."
"...I tried."
Lena looked down at the sleeping child.
"She looks happy."
"I hope she is."
There was another silence.
A softer one this time.
Then Lena quietly asked...
"...How old is she?"
"Five."
Lena's fingers froze.
Five.
Exactly five years.
The same amount of time Miu had been gone.
The same amount of time Lena had spent wondering if she'd ever meant anything.
She forced herself to smile.
"...I see."
Again...
The misunderstanding grew deeper.
After dinner, everyone walked toward the parking area.
Ling noticed Lena still carrying the sleeping Nami.
"You know..."
Ling whispered.
"She likes you."
Lena smiled sadly.
"Kids usually do."
"No."
Ling looked between Lena and Miu.
"I think she feels safe with you."
Before Lena could respond...
Nami stirred in her sleep.
Her tiny hand instinctively reached for Lena's necklace.
The silver necklace.
The one Miu had given Lena years ago.
"Mama..."
Nami mumbled sleepily.
Everyone unconsciously looked at Miu.
Instead...
The little girl tightened her grip on Lena's dress.
"...Mama..."
Lena's heart skipped.
Miu quickly carried Nami into her own arms.
"She's dreaming."
But the look on Miu's face...
It was filled with quiet pain.
A week later.
Lena received an envelope.
No sender.
No return address.
Just her name.
Miss Lena Schuett.
She almost threw it away.
Until a small line at the back caught her attention.
Someone owes you the truth.
Inside was another envelope.
Older.
Its edges had yellowed with time.
There was also a handwritten note.
Miss Lena,
My name is Somchai.
I served the Taechamongkalapiwat family for almost thirty years.
I have recently resigned because I can no longer carry the guilt of keeping this secret.
The envelope enclosed was written by Miss Miu five years ago.
She begged me to deliver it to you only if she failed to come back herself.
I couldn't.
I was watched constantly by Mr. Taechamongkalapiwat's people.
If I had delivered it then, I would've endangered both of you.
I am sorry.

Part 1️⃣
Hidden beneath Lena's dress...
was the silver necklace Miu had given her on their second anniversary.
Five years.
She never took it off.
Miu quickly looked away before tears could form.
Hours later...
The gala became louder.
Wine flowed endlessly.
Lena kept accepting every glass offered.
One.
Three.
Five.
Seven.
Orm eventually frowned.
"Lena, enough."
"I'm fine."
"No, you're—"
"I'm celebrating."
"What?"
Lena laughed bitterly.
"My ex finally got the family she always wanted."
The table fell silent.
Miu clenched her glass so hard her knuckles turned white.
When nobody was paying attention...
Lena quietly walked outside.
The garden surrounding the venue was peaceful.
Moonlight reflected across a small pond.
She sat alone on a stone bench.
Finally...
She let herself cry.
Back inside...
Miu noticed the empty seat.
"Where's Lena?"
Orm sighed.
"She left."
Without another word...
Miu walked out into the night.
She found Lena sitting beneath an old tree.
Shoulders trembling.
"You'll catch a cold."
Lena laughed without looking at her.
"You still care?"
Silence.
Miu slowly sat beside her.
Leaving enough space between them.
Too much space.
Five years' worth.
Lena stared ahead.
"So..."
"...Congratulations."
"For what?"
"Your family."
Miu's heart sank.
"Lena—"
"You finally have everything."
"That's not—"
"A daughter."
"A home."
"A normal life."
Miu closed her eyes.
"No."
"You don't have to lie."
"I'm not lying."
Lena finally looked at her.
Her eyes were red.
"Then tell me."
"..."
"Why did you leave me?"
Silence.
Again.
Always silence.
Lena laughed bitterly.
"See?"
"You still won't answer."
Miu looked away.
"If I tell you..."
"I'll ruin everything."
Lena stood.
"You already did."
"You left."
"You disappeared."
"You came back with someone else's place beside you."
"You expect me to smile?"
Miu wanted to say—
Nami isn't my biological daughter.
I never stopped loving you.
I left because I had to.
But the promise she made five years ago still chained her.
So instead...
"...I'm sorry."
Lena's expression turned cold.
"I don't need your apology."
"I needed you."
She walked away.
Leaving Miu standing alone beneath the moonlight.
Again.
Just like five years ago.
