Here’s my 2 cents! You’ve got a lot of timber with the weatherboards. A timber fence will add to the heaviness and not feel as light and airy as the emu wire. Also, different “textures” add interest. Emu wire for me!

Emu wire looks more stylish and expensive. Gives timeless vintage. Plus it’s less work to maintain. No need to re paint in years to come. It would look nice with some vines growing up it as well.
