I speak to a lot of men who on paper are doing completely fine. They have a job. They have somewhere to live. They have food. They have a phone, entertainment and more comfort than most generations before them could have imagined. But internally they feel completely lost. No direction. No energy. No real relationship with Allah. Nobody depending on them. And nobody around them who genuinely knows what they’re going through. I think we’ve massively underestimated how destructive isolation has become for men. Men were never designed to sit alone in a room, scrolling for hours, consuming other people’s lives whilst slowly becoming spectators of their own. We need responsibility. We need physical hardship. We need purpose. We need to strengthen our relationship with Allah. And we need good men around us. Men who notice when you disappear. Men who tell you the truth when you’re slipping. Men who encourage you when things aren’t going well. Men who remind you of Allah when you’ve lost perspective. And men who genuinely want to see you win in this life and the next. For over a decade I’ve worked with men in different capacities and I keep seeing the same problems appearing again and again. A lot of brothers don’t need another motivational video. They need an environment that makes becoming a better man easier. And that’s something I’ve become increasingly passionate about building.
