Alll e gates were down when I entered 7 days ago which led to 2 hour queues so I don’t know where you are getting this info

When we came in to Iceland, all of the terminals were off. There were only 4 officers for the hundreds of travellers. The line was over a kilometre long (according to my watch lol) and it took us 1-2 hours to actually get past the arrivals gate.
