There is a reason patents exist. There is a reason companies protect their formulas, systems, and processes. Coca Cola has never revealed its original recipe. Pepsi protects its own formula. McDonald’s and Domino’s don’t hand out every detail that gives them a competitive advantage. If every successful business gave away everything that made it unique, it would be much harder to stay ahead. This doesn’t mean you should never teach or share knowledge. It means you must understand the value of intellectual property. Not every strategy needs to be announced. Not every idea needs to be posted online before you’ve built it.
