Converting to Roth IRA’s is a great estate planning tool. Your heirs get the tax free compounding for at least 10years if your a non spouse

Why do I care what happens at 75. So big deal, you pay the taxes on the rmd’s and put it in your brokerage account. If you have enough saved, this should not affect your life. Roth conversions are total bs.

Why convert to a Roth and lose out on future gains? The difference in Medicare costs are minimal compared to what you can make in the market. In addition if you make over a certain $ you cannot contribute to a Roth. Im sticking with the IRA.

Who has $10 million in a standard IRA? Doubt it is possible since IRS limits the contribution amount. You would have do be a ridiculous good investor with 100%+ return per year. If it were in a Roth it would all be yours

Either convert now or later because RMDs will force you. And it might not be in a tax bracket of your liking. If you wait until RMDs come around now you can't convert that to a Roth meaning you will invest it somewhere else and continue to pay taxes. Something you been trying to avoid all along.

Convert to Roth!!! You convert $20,000 at age of 50. It makes 10% a year tax-free, now at age 64 that $20,000 turned into $80,000. You now gained $60,000 tax-free!!! Do it! It’s not about the taxes you pay now, it’s the taxes you won’t pay in the future!!

did one already (hype!), really not needed. $2 mil..I'll just pay my RMDs and live my life. I fit this exact scenario...(except single) Government is gonna get my $ one way or another...Rather let that early tax $ sit in there and compound. I'll bet the government will do some tax break when SS problems come up in 2031 (100% gonna go nuts in government) ....Yeah, I'll wait. (stopped contributing to 401 at a mil--it doesn't need anymore $..., started a roth-401) and have another roth and brokerage...sp no worries. I was 100% planning on rolling...this guy is right...and who cares about IRMA =max $2k/yr Medicare...I pay that monthly now!
