I think most of what you washed out would be soot in the exhaust system rather than carbon deposits in the DPF.

And you’ve now filled you exhaust silencers (mufflers) with water that will sit there for a long time and perhaps cause it to rust from the inside, as they are a larger diameter than the pipe! Several long high revving journeys may dry them out! So beware!
