I remember 4 years ago I went on my first girl trip and the birthday girl said Airbnb I immediately said no. I’ll book a nearby hotel to their Airbnb. While they were busy cleaning up at the end of their stay. I was getting fresh towels daily and breakfast and ofc didn’t have to perform cleaning services at the end. My cost was no different to theirs

Totally agree. Boutique hotels are my go to for quieter, more intimate hotel experiences without the corporate, busy, touristy vibe of big hotels.

Now Airbnb has a Hotel Room option and guess what? most of the time are cheaper than listings 😭

ABNB “worked” for me when I had just sold my house and had not found a new place. But for travel, I would not choose ABNB. I want to be pampered when I go on holiday, I want to be treated in a special way, because my daily life is about cleaning, cooking, washing and travelling is me having a nice break.
