In the same way, death takes a person to their Beloved — Allah. According to this philosophy, death is a testimony to Allah’s love and mercy for humanity. Allah brings His servants back to Him out of love. He does not need our worship; rather, He asks us to worship so that we may understand death as a sign of faith, divine love, and mercy. Ghani Khan also compares death to a promise between spring and autumn. In spring, leaves appear on the trees, and in autumn they fall, yet they return again with the next spring. Likewise, human life begins, reaches its autumn in death, and then continues into another spring — the life after death. Life itself is like a brief moment of love between Allah and His creation: Allah shows His love to human beings, and they respond with their love for Him.
