Everyone saying it’s bc the bangs start too low it’s literally just an illusion created due to the placement of their ears! Their forehead is α completely normal size, but we’re so used to seeing ears (especially anthropomorphic ears) further back on the head, so it tricks our brains into thinking the forehead is shorter

Both of you are correct, the issue is the hair, you drew the origin point directly from the start of the forehead, but since hair has volume it should be further back, this is what makes the forehead look too small

Ive always figured that when comments go crazy like this it means the art is already very very good. People go crazy jealous over things they cant do themselves. The back of the head is MAYBE a little bigger than needed but it looks artistically attractive and unique so idk. It depends on the intent of the artist. Bangs are fine

proportions are a-okay! it's just that the front pieces of the hair (ie. bangs and fringes) especially that thick might look visually better when its root/origin is somewhere in the middle of the head rather than being right in the hairline :)
