i’ve always been a firm believer that schedules can be a beautiful thing, but they can also become a little too constricting. imo 🤷🏼‍♀️ i had my first baby at 21 and as overwhelming as that transition was, it was one of the greatest blessings of my life. i knew becoming a mom would refine the way i lived, but i never wanted motherhood to stop my life completely. & when @jeffyclarkey came into the picture *our lives* over the last five years, i’ve learned that every season looks different. when my babies were tiny it was really important to me to teach them to sleep through everyday life, not because i didn’t value rest, but because i wanted the freedom to say yes to beach days, family dinners, hangs with friends, church, road trips, and spontaneous outings without feeling like we had to rush home for every nap. now that they’re toddlers, our days are less centered around strict sleep schedules and more around what they’re capable of keeping up with. life has naturally slowed down in some ways (because toddlers 😂) but i’m so thankful they can still nap in the stroller, on the beach, in the car or wherever the day takes us. i think babies are far more resilient and adaptable than we give them credit for. and this is proof that teaching them to sleep through anything, anywhere as babies… can sometimes mean they’ll sleep through anything, anywhere as toddlers too. 🤍
