if my AC is not working I will report it and I will and do refuse to drive THAT vehicle. If I am asked to drive it back to the yard.. it's a no. Bring me another bus. If I can drive it to the yard then I can drive it in service. My safety is worth more to me than mileage, if inpass out while driving a greenhouse on wheels because I took it back to the yard, I'll get the blame. Again... not refusing to work, it's refusing to drive a bus that is not safe for my passengers or myself in the heat.

The drivers cabs need proper air conditioning- companies should be penalised for cutting back on re- gassing or tampering with the ac in the cabs .. I don’t drive at all , I’m a passenger and yes it’s awful when you’re on a packed bus - but I can get off , I’m not stuck on the bus for a whole shift

One garage, a driver said the AC wasn't working, he wasn't going to drive the bus. Control said, just hand the bus to the next driver!

If non working air conditioning or air cooling was added to the PCV regulations as an official safety defect the companies wouldn't have a leg to stand on.
