@zmilya9: NITKA 2015 — Carrier Pilot Training Facility (Crimea) In 2015, Russia used the NITKA training complex in Crimea to train its naval aviation pilots. NITKA is a ground-based aircraft carrier simulator, featuring a ski-jump and arrestor wires, designed to replicate real carrier operations for aircraft like the Su-33,MiG29K and Su-25UTG However, Crimea was not originally part of Russia, After the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, it became part of Ukraine. In 2014, following a Euromaidan political crisis, Russia took control of Crimea through a military operation and a controversial referendum. After this, Russia gained access to key military facilities, including NITKA. By 2015, the complex was actively used again to train carrier-qualified pilots, supporting operations for the Admiral Kuznetsov. #NITKA #Crimea2015 #RussianNavalAviation #Su25UTG #Su33
